Manager, Security Ops

Job DescriptionOverview: The candidate will be part of the enterprise Information Security Management team which is responsible for securing all corporate assets and deployment of security technologies. The EMR (Epic) will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all tasks related to (End-Users records in Epic), policies and processes surrounding the EMR. This position will also work closely with Corporate Compliance, Clinical Information Systems, Security & Risk Governance and Identity & Access Management to ensure HIPPA guidelines are being followed and confidentiality, Integrity & Availability of EMR data is maintained at all times. The Epic Security Advisor will also provide structure and guidance to Application Support Analysts as well as outside entities that deal with systems access. The Advisor provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. Responsibilities: Must be able to work extensively with EMP , SER, ECL, E2R master files. Provision security roles for end users. Guide Application Support Analysts in mapping users to specific security templates. Establish ownership of each security class defined by the security workgroup, ensure access is limited to authorized users and ensure authorized users have access to only that which is necessary to perform their job function. Creates processes to grant access to new employees, remove access from terminated employees and modify access when job roles change. These procedures should include steps by which users can receive login authorization, passwords, and training on proper system security. Develop procedures to establish new security roles, to include a review and approval process for the requested modification. Work closely with technical teams and applications analysts to develop a firm understanding of infrastructure security and templates and will possess or develop a working knowledge of clinical roles to better match security templates with clinical job functions. Collaborate with management and end users to provide appropriate access. Perform Chronicle imports, exports for analysis and create reports for auditing purposes. Process and troubleshoot any EMP Epic related issues, projects, crossover with other teams, and general security related issues with timely resolutions, including weekend and on call support as needed.Required Qualifications- 5+ years of Information Technology experience in the Epic Security area. Work experience with IT system administrator functions in large scale, complex, infrastructure environments. Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and applications. Strong analytical skills. Experience dealing with end users. Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop relationships- 5+ years deep knowledge of the Epic Security role and best practices. information technology principles, development methodologies and knowledge of platforms / applications or software products. Experience with Epic applications, Epic build and/or Working knowledge of HIPAA.
