Job DescriptionThe Retail Pharmacy Data and Products is looking for an accomplished technical leader with previous experience in architecting large-scale applications & delivering complex programs. Reporting to the Director - Rx Data & Products, this individual plays a leadership role in Business Problem Solving, tackling challenging technical & delivery situations & leading the team to deliver cutting-edge IT solutions. The Senior Manager should have practical work experience in designing, deploying and owning large & mission critical applications. The ideal individual for this role should be comfortable working under minimum supervision, explaining complex problems and recommending effective solution alternatives to Senior Business & IT stakeholders. The Senior Manager will drive the data architecture and engineering solutions that are consistent with enterprise standards. Provide direction and oversight for data modelers on data profiling, design of relational and dimensional models, and data mapping documentation. Interface with upstream system architects, developers and program managers to resolve data issues and drive the acquisition of the data needed by business customers. Evolve and support the basic tenets of good data architecture. The Senior Manager works on one or more projects at all stages of the system lifecycle (define, design, and build). Roles & Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership in developing vision, strategy, architecture and overall design for assigned domain and for solutions.- Lead teams, technical projects or programs, and has overall leadership responsibility for project architecture and design. - Actively facilitate complex design and technical discussions, reconciling differing opinions and drives decision making process. - Turning technology transformation strategy into action in the form of solution and integration designs.- Being an ambassador for partnership with IT delivery and business stakeholders.- Partnering with Program Management and Product Owners to deliver business value.- Ensuring proper performance engineering disciplines are incorporated into projects.- Review and ensure architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible, and cost effective. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring throughout the project lifecycle - Proactively identify reuse opportunities. - Articulate the tradeoffs, benefits and risks of all architecture and design solutions.- Turning technology transformation strategy into action in the form of solution and integration designs- Proven master of Solution Architecture with Cloud and Integration Technology experience- Effective communicator and collaborator, who can apply outcome-based leadership across teams and organizations.- Experience with any or all of the following: Agile/Scrum Development & Management, Iterative & Incremental development approaches, Continuous Integration and deliveryRequired Qualifications 7+ years of related responsible experience working with large and complex data warehouse systems with hands-on data architecture experience 5+ years of experience with design and developing backend solutions involving Teradata, Oracle or Snowflake Cloud Datawarehouse in a multi terabytes environment 5+ years of hands-on experience in database and SQL performance tuning (Teradata, Oracle or Snowflake) 5+ years of experience in designing & developing ETL applications using ETL tools or SQL 5+ years of experience in working with logical & physical data models using data warehouse methodologies, including Star schema, Snowflake schemas, conformed dimensions data architecture 3+ years of hands on experience with Big Data landscape, specifically hands on working with Hadoop (Hortonworks), Unix/Linux operating systems as well as storage configurations. Working knowledge of open source tools such as: Hadoop technology (Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive,etc.), Python and bash. 3+ years of hands on experience with Azure Cloud; HDI Insights, ADLS, External tables and hive managed tablesCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
