Job DescriptionAs a Senior Manager, Product Development and Management, you will be a senior member of Aetna's Commercial Product organization. The New Product Development (NPD) Department is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing new product offerings for Aetna's commercial plan sponsors. Given the importance of the vertical (industry solution) segment to our business, one of NPD's priority areas is to deeply understand the needs of select industries and design products and solutions that meet their needs and differentiate Aetna in the marketplace. In this role, you will design and manage the new vertical products that are developed for select industries, which includes product management, gating, review, enhancements, and overall product performance. The Senior Manager, Product Development and Management will closely partner with the Center of Commercial Growth Vertical Team and Field Sales Leadership to deliver solutions that will enable the commercial team to achieve its revenue targets. Furthermore, you will drive cross-functional collaboration with sales, sales enablement, marketing, strategic partnerships, underwriting, actuarial, finance, and product engineering to design, deliver and communicate the value proposition of new solutions. Additional responsibilities of the Senior Manager, Product Development and Management include: - Leverage in-depth knowledge and understanding of products across functions and within market segments to direct the development and implementation of new product initiatives, including enhancements- Focus on growth of existing vertical solutions such as Healthcare Business, Private Equity, High Tech, Hospitality, and Retail - Support and lead matrix stakeholders in the product design for emerging vertical solutions- Direct, evaluate and provide requirements/specifications for use of appropriate business processes and systems to support product initiatives- Seek and maintain comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences and competitive pressures to develop and support vertical products- Drive effective product offerings to customers to meet commercial organizational goals- Understand and track key performance indicators including member experience, return on investment (ROI), effectiveness, etc.- Establish and manage large (or significant) cross-functional development and implementation work groups. Anticipate resource needs, set priorities, establish accountabilities, define roles/responsibilities and manage relationships to secure necessary resources not under direct control- May participate and/or conduct focus group sessions, broker briefings or one-on-one meetings with consultants, brokers, general agents and/or employer groups to obtain voice of customer feedback- Lead product performance management, including sunset; oversee business case developmentRequired Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of healthcare and/or health insurance experience- 5 years or more of Product Development experienceCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
