Job DescriptionThis position can be located anywhere in USA. (Work from home)The Director of Specialty Definition, Drug List and Data Management is responsible for providing strategic leadership, guidance and expertise to ensure successful end to end management of the Specialty drug list which encompasses pre-launch activities through post product launch execution and monitoring. In addition, this position is critical for ensuring we continue to have best in class strategies with regard to our Specialty designation criteria and review process. Primary duties and responsibilities include: This position leads the end to end management of the specialty drug list starting with identifying upcoming FDA approved Specialty products continuing through the enterprise drug file system updates and communicating downstream impacts with key internal business units and external clients. Provide oversight of the evaluation of new pipeline products for designation as specialty products, working closely with internal stakeholders including Medical Affairs, Underwriting, Enterprise Analytics and Sales Operations. This position manages the multidisciplinary committee that conducts these evaluations (Pharmaceutical Technology Evaluation Committee - PTEC) and requires strong collaboration skills as it is necessary to work cross functionally with various internal business units. Accountable for the definition of a Specialty Product both internally and externally including responding to RFP requests and ensuring internal system capability to track and adhere to standard and custom definitions. Partner with Underwriting, Bids and Proposals and other key internal business partners to develop and evaluate solutions to drive new opportunities for the Specialty Pharmacy business. Spearhead process improvements and system enhancements to expand functionality including incorporating key business information and providing a single source of truth for Specialty drug designations and attributes. Collaborate with internal business teams to establish a standard and consistent approach and framework for shared drug elements including assigning therapy categories across Finance, Underwriting, Enterprise Analytics, Specialty Guideline Management, Manufacturer Services and Pharma Reporting. Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of project plans to track Specialty PTEC deliverables. Partner with Sales Operations to create standard internal announcements, talk tracks and FAQs to communicate impactful PTEC decisions and drug list updates. Work with Enterprise Market Strategy to stay abreast of market, industry and competitor strategies in order to identify opportunities to differentiate CVS Specialty as the premier Specialty Pharmacy partner in relation to Specialty Definition and drug list strategies. Conduct executive level reviews to both internal customers and CVS Specialty leaders. Standardize procedures and workflow to improve efficiency, quality, service and performance. Develop and drive strategic plans to improve performance, reliability and results through identifying trends and assessing the underlying root cause of service issues.Required Qualifications 10+ years of Specialty Pharmacy, PBM or related industry experience required 2+ Strong analytical quantitative skills, including trend management and/or business analysis planning. 8+ Project Development/Execution experience within the healthcare industry. 5+ years of leadership experience required. This position requires a seasoned leader who excels at building strong business relationships and utilizes interpersonal and influencing skills to foster effective working relations across the business. Demonstrated high level of client service skills through execution with accuracy, responsiveness, reliability and professionalism on every interaction, often times with tight timelines. A professional presence, solid presentation and communication skills are a requirement in engaging and interacting with clients and internal partners. Strong strategic, creative and solution-oriented thinking capability using sound business judgment and decision making. Strong business acumen and ability to understand the links and connections between functional business areas/units and factor them into decisions and plans. Demonstrated leadership skills, prioritization, and strong project management skills. Knowledge and confidence to present to and interact with senior leadership and large audiences of clinical professionals, executives, clients and customers. Ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis and/or measure success. Capacity to synthesize complex information from disparate sources into a clear compelling story and negotiate with stakeholders (internal and external) to identify and align on common sources of value to ensure successful program development and value creation for CVS Specialty. Proven capability conducting and managing quantitative analysis with the highest level of attention to detail and analytical rigor.
