Job Description Eligible candidates will reside within 30-45 minutes of the Phoenix city center and will average 32 hours or more per week traveling to facilities in the surrounding area and other states as needed. In this role, the nurse will conduct quality reviews and provide education specific to medication compliance for Skilled Nursing (SNF) and Assisted Living (ALF) customers. As a nurse for Omnicare pharmacy, the position includes observing and giving one on one feedback to staff conducting medication pass, reviewing medication carts and rooms for medication storage compliance and safety, conducting in-services for medication administration, and checking clinical documentation.The nurse in this role will complete on-site customer visits that include but are not limited to: Meet with customers to present Omnicare Nursing Services and promote utilization of support tools and programs Evaluate regulatory compliance and determine clinical education needs for SNF/ Senior Living customers as it relates to pharmacy serviceso Review medication carts and medication rooms for proper medication storageo Observe medication pass and provide feedback to staff and leadershipo Review charts for proper documentation of medication managemento Conduct review of orders to medications being delivered by pharmacy to ensure order accuracy Identify and provide recommendations regarding deficiencies and opportunities around drug inventories, storage, and distribution Provide clinical training to facility staff, typically in small groups of 10-15 staff members Manage resolution of customer issues and requests Assist with onboarding new facilities to pharmacy processesRequired Qualifications- Licensed nurse (LPN/LVN) with current license in state of employment; additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas- Established experience in nursing field with recent experience that may include direct patient care, physical assessment, clinical education, and group in-servicing in the long -term care setting- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Web applications- Ability to travel regularly, up to 80%- Valid driver's license and ability to drive long distances- Notwithstanding the language in the below COVID Requirements section that references exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons, successful candidates for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date.
