Job DescriptionCVS Digital aims to transform health and wellness via products that enable consumer engagement and a best-in-class experience. We are currently taking on a major initiative to redesign and rebuild many of our customer facing digital assets. This effort will include a completely new approach to developing software within Aetna/CVS, using the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes. We are looking for a Sr. Accessibility Solutions Engineer with iOS expertise to help us drive A11y into our native experiences. As a member of the A11y Solutions Team, you will work with the Director to implement our A11y Engineering strategy and ensure organizational adoption of our standards . You'll partner closely with Engineering stakeholders across the organization to help make our digital platforms and ecosystem more inclusive by baking in comprehensive shift left model. You will be an A11y champion across many teams, and will also work with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads and leadership to mature the offering and ensure it exceeds the expectations of ALL customers and users. In this role you will: Work with A11y leadership to build and deliver an iOS focused roadmap for A11y. Partner with Design System & Enablement team to grow component adoption and evangelize the importance of accessible components across the org. Align Aetna/CVS A11y Automation strategy with A11y Engineering test methodologies. Contribute to building test standards into team workflows across Web, Android and iOS platforms. Collaborate with engineers to teach A11y front-end best practices through documentation, training and consulting. Collect and interpret data on progress toward key milestones and metrics regarding the use of A11y tools. Ensure internal Product stakeholders A11y needs /expectations are met and promote transparency by helping communicate through SAFe/SCRUM practice. Assist with iOS test plan iterations and management of improvements to the A11y Engineering test process flow. Grow engagement around inclusive design and development at Aetna/CVC as a native A11y champion Continue learning and monitor emerging research surrounding a11y topics and user focused web development. Build lean prototypes to demonstrate A11y API capabilities and potential features for Product/Engineering. Can work from any of the CVS health office locations and work from home flexibleRequired Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software development working on enterprise-class applications. 5+ years of experience working on iOS/Android Native Development At least 1+ year of experience in role proactively engaged with Digital Accessibility 3+ Years' Experience with Agile/Scrum practices.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated. Please note that in some states and roles, you may be required to provide proof of full vaccination or an approved reasonable accommodation before you can begin to actively work.Preferred Qualifications Expert ability to interpret and advise on accessibility standards, principles, techniques and best practices (including WCAG 2.1, Revised Sec 508, WAI-ARIA, ATAG ) Expert knowledge of how applicable WCAG 2.1 success criteria map to development requirements for iOS applications. Expert knowledge of open source a11y tools and rulesets (e.g. axe-core) Ability to think outside of the box and be innovative when it comes to scaling solutions to complex A11y problems. Passion for building and helping others build accessible UIs Commitment to meeting high expectations of end users Strong knowledge of assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) Experience with Agile/Scrum practices. Experience leading large cross functional project management initiatives. Advanced communication/presentation skills needed to represent your team with stakeholders and management.
