Pharmacy Intern 3rd Year

Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to use practice in a specialized pharmacy setting working for the industry leader in home infusion. As a Pharmacy Intern with Coram you will learn how to utilize your clinical skills under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and/or Pharmacy Supervisor within the scope of practice for a state-registered pharmacy intern. Key responsibilities: Interpret and evaluate prescription orders assure therapeutic appropriateness, cost effectiveness, and completeness. Communicate with patients and other members of the healthcare team. Obtain laboratory results and patient medication histories as directed. Select items in processing patient orders and warehouse transfers. Compound parenteral solutions aseptically. Type prescription labels, initiate patient dispensing records, packing slips and statements. Obtains a final check by the pharmacist in compounding and filling prescriptions.
