We're seeking candidates with consulting, Retail, and/or B2C consumer strategy experience looking to join a dynamic internal consulting group within a rapidly growing and transforming Fortune 5 company. CVS Retail Marketing, responsible for reaching 100M households and delivering $1B+ in annual revenue, guides customer-centric strategic roadmaps, prioritization, and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and pre-shop/in-store touchpoints that deepen relationships with our customers. We're expanding our centralized Strategy & Planning team, responsible for scoping and delivering internal strategy consulting projects for CVS's Front-Store Retail marketing teams to help them achieve customer and business growth.Our new Senior Manager of Marketing & Business Strategy will be in a unique position to work closely across a variety of cross-functional teams across Front-Store Marketing, Store Experience, GM/Consumables/Seasonal Merchandising, Loyalty, and various centers of excellence. This role will report to the Executive Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning and have frequent exposure to executive leadership such as the Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing VPs, Merchandising VPs, and Loyalty program leaders. As the internal consulting lead for consumer trip driving and GM/Consumables/Seasonal strategic projects, this role's primary internal client stakeholder will be the Executive Director of FS Trip Growth Marketing Strategy.This role requires a unique blend of deep strategic, analytical, and collaborative mindset to empower Front-Store retail prioritization based on business, consumer, market, and competitive shifts. Our nimble, autonomous, and entrepreneurial Senior Manager should be very comfortable analyzing data & KPIs, working independently and proactively, synthesizing complex insights, communicating actionable recommendations to a wide variety of stakeholders/leaders, and facilitating execution to deliver results. To support our Front Store Retail teams meet critical business and customer goals, our Senior Manager's core responsibilities include: Bring together various qualitative and quantitative data sources to understand the consumer shifts and drive that into focus areas for business prioritization As an internal consultant leader, assist other marketing teams with market sizing, competitive intelligence and benchmarking, go-to-market strategy, customer segmentation and targeting, and customer journey mapping Evaluate new business models and opportunities, as well as track the evolving Marketing channel and activation partner space to continue to advance thinking and prioritization of technology investments Lead the framing of goals, approach, and measurement that drive increases in brand equity, awareness, consideration, and conversion of physical and ecomm shopping trips Scope and drive medium/long-term consumer strategy projects across various functional areas by developing a cohesive cross-stakeholder learning agenda to identify opportunities in customer omni-experience, marketing channel/platform effectiveness, spend allocation, etc. Attend marketing, retail, and industry trade events to stay attuned to emerging business, shopping, and consumer behavior trends and opportunities; proactively bring critical consumer, market, and competitive trends to leaders with potential implications and opportunities for CVS Health Serve as primary relationship lead for the insights and analytics teams to assess consumer experience, trip, and basket metrics and performance-based marketing effectiveness analysis on an ongoing basis and be the champion for continually progressive thinking and optimization Partner with and manage external research vendors and consultants Manage and develop strong, collaborative relationships with partners across the organization and lead cross-functional team to ensure consistent communication and execution of strategy Regularly build high quality executive level presentations outlining consumer activity, strategic roadmaps and recommendations, and project management for critical growth initiativesRequired Qualifications 5+ years of business or marketing strategy and/or internal or external consulting experience with a strong foundation in B2C business growth, consumer shopping behavior, and market research.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated. Please note that in some states and roles, you may be required to provide proof of full vaccination or an approved reasonable accommodation before you can begin to actively work.Preferred Qualifications Preferred experience in Retail, CPG, Management Consulting, Healthcare, and/or other highly consumer centric seasonal industries such as Food & Hospitality, Apparel, Travel, etc.7+ years of business or marketing strategy and/or internal or external consulting experience with a strong foundation in B2C business growth, consumer shopping behavior, and market researchExperience working in a highly matrixed organization, with proven ability to inspire, collaborate with, and influence business partners Expert in Excel and PowerPoint, with proficient use of key metrics/ratios and consumer insights to build business cases and strategic plansAdept at identifying, evaluating, and executing on emerging consumer trends in seasonal, food & snacks, household goods, consumer wellness, shopping trip missions, and loyalty Excellent organization, project management, and strategic thinking skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners in delivering ROI positive results Self-motivated, high-capacity individual who can function and thrive in a demanding, performance-driven environment, with ability to act as an independent self-starter and anticipate requests to properly execute projects and initiatives Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base, with ability to develop and present compelling narratives and findings to leadershipIntellectually curious creative problem solver who can incorporate new learnings into existing plans and act decisively and independently, and who consistently demonstrates professionalism, reliability, accountability, and flexibility in working with othersEducation Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
