Job DescriptionThe role is hybrid in office, 1x-2x weekly in Hartford, CT. This position will support the Corporate Finance team within Treasury. The Corporate Finance team is responsible for helping CVS Health understand its cash flows, capital structure, and opportunities for strategic capital deployment. The candidate will work collaboratively with teammates and under direct management supervision to support all aspects of the Corporate Finance team, including running three-financial statement models, projecting cash flow, assessing the strength of our balance sheet, and understanding the impact of capital deployment on value-creation for our stakeholders. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting with Senior Management reporting, including calculating monthly variances and developing commentary, preparation materials and exhibits for quarterly earnings calls, assisting with presentation slides for board of director meetings, and various ad-hoc requests. Additionally, the candidate will support the administration and execution of capital markets activities, including debt issuances, credit support obligations, share repurchases, and shareholder dividends. The candidate will interact with business partners across CVS Health, including leaders at the Vice President and Executive Director levels, as well as external banking partners, with supervision from the Executive Director.Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:1. Support CVS Health balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, including utilizing earnings estimates and business submissions to model working capital needs and project enterprise cash flowa. Utilize various financial tools to populate Excel based models and develop consolidated financial projectionsb. Determine cash available for strategic capital deployment and shareholder value creationc. Conduct capital structure analysis and estimate rating agency metrics2. Prepare senior management reporting, including monthly variance analysis, quarterly support packages for earnings calls, and materials for board of director meetingsa. Calculate monthly variances and develop summary commentaryb. Conduct comparison analysis on internal cash flow projections and assist with commentary on drivers of change for cash flow guidancec. Provide quarterly analysis for earnings calls, develop analysis for hot topic issues and review Treasury-related items in SEC filingsd. Assist teammates and manager with creation of and updates to materials for board of director meetings3. Conduct ad-hoc analysis such as competitor analysis, cost of capital, working capital/payment term efficiency, etc.4. Supporting capital markets and capital deployment activities, including administration of debt issuance, share repurchases, shareholder dividends, credit support obligations, and bank lending. a. Assist teammates with issuance and administration of credit support obligations related to various business operations, including new requests for proposal bidsb. Calculate interest expense impact of new debt issuance and debt tender transactions, including impact of interest rate derivative transactions and amortization of discounts and issuance fees.c. Assess impact of share repurchase transactions on weighted average shares and enterprise adjusted earnings per share.Required QualificationsGeneral knowledge of financial statements and finance required.
