Job DescriptionThe Pharmacy Innovation and Engineering group is responsible for ensuring that the processes and systems that support day-to-day prescription fulfillment are well designed and effective at supporting the operational and clinical objectives of our retail pharmacy business. In support of that mission, the Strategic Portfolio Analyst is responsible for the administration of a portfolio of EBIT-driving innovation initiatives, while improving the quality of our services, and the lives of the customers and colleagues we serve.The primary objective of this role will be to partner cross-functionally with senior leaders in Pharmacy Operations, Product Development, Patient Safety, and other stakeholders to define and build a strategic multi-year portfolio (Pharmacy Operating Model innovations [RxOM], Pharmacy Layout & Design, Central Fill) roadmap focused on identifying and assessing opportunities that advance CVS Health's purpose of helping people on their path to better health. This leader will have direct responsibility for managing IT investment, capital, and expense dollars across the Retail Operations business unit, and will be responsible for the delivery of several in-flight initiatives led by the Retail Operations team and "Blue Chip" (or high visibility) initiatives across the portfolio. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with leadership and various teams throughout the organization while gaining exposure to the numerous strategies that are being pursued to grow and improve business throughout the enterprise. 1. Build a systematic framework for evaluating and prioritizing future projects and initiatives across the Retail Store Operations (Pharmacy Ops, Store Ops, Payer Relations, RxOM) portfolio (e.g. store layout innovation, customer service, store colleague engagement, etc.) leveraging both internal data and external market research - 30%2. Management and ongoing monitoring of the Retail Store Operations portfolio - including budgeting, analysis, resources and expense management, reporting of realized or projected value at the project/program level, and weighing against overall department KPIs & goals - 30%3. Support internal programs by serving as a liaison between members of cross-functional business teams, IT, PMO, Finance, and senior leadership throughout the annual planning and project development cycle - 15%4. Modeling - Build, maintain, and continually recalibrate models that will help identify projects based on trends, market climate, and strategic vision to drive significant EBIT value to the business. - 15%5. Reporting - Develop and maintain monthly capital expense reporting and executive dashboards across the layout and design portfolio (i.e. expansions, internal mods, remodels, etc.) including explanation and in-depth understanding of actual spend vs. forecast 6.
