Pharmacy Technician - Specialty - Non-Retail

Job DescriptionUnder the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician selects, prepares and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. As a Pharmacy Technician you will performs record keeping functions and assist in various inventory control processes.Schedule: Mon-Fri 11:00am-7:30pm Responsibilities:-Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with the CVS specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.-Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.-Exercise proper hands sanitation and hazardous medication handling practices.-Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant as needed.-Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed.-Responsible for cleaning for all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areaRequired Qualifications6 months work experience as a pharmacy technicianCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
