Job DescriptionThe PostgreSQL / MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of Open Source databases. We are seeking a great teammate that is willing to dig in and do what it takes to make the team successful. Effective communication and collaboration with the DBA team, infrastructure teams and IS application teams is critical to achieving success with this position. Responsibilities include all critical functions that a DBA performs, for example, database software installs, configuration, security, DDL execution, performance tuning, consulting, monitoring, maintenance, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, participating in 24/7 on-call rotation, and identifying and resolving problems quickly. The team provides support for on premise databases and cloud databases (IaaS and DBaaS) including critical Tier-1 and Tier 2 systems that utilize high availability solutions with clustering and replication.
