Job DescriptionThe AVP, Rebate Operations will lead a team of approximately 200 full-time colleagues dedicated to improving rebate management, a key enterprise initiative. In this role, the AVP will be responsible for billing, collecting, and distributing more than $50B annually in drug manufacturer rebates for CVS' Pharmacy Services Segment. This role is key to supporting CVS' ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals by optimizing rebate performance on behalf of our clients and leading an enterprise initiative to modernize the processes and systems supporting rebate operations.Key Responsibilities Lead all rebate activities that interact directly with drug manufacturers, including invoicing and collecting more than $50B of rebates annually Oversee administration and execution of client contract terms for computation and payment of rebates and guarantees for over 5,000 PBM clients Create and continuously evolve leading-edge products, including a Real-Time Manufacturer Discount Program (RTMD) that applies rebates to claims in real-time at the point of sale Partner closely with FP&A and Accounting teams across all rebate-related forecasting, analysis, and accounting activities, including continuous improvements in tools and processes to enable faster insight into emerging financial performance Drive innovation throughout the enterprise by leading the Rebate Modernization Project, a strategic multi-year enterprise initiative that will drive $80M in annual ROI Partner with Underwriting, Client Services, Clinical, Trade, and other areas of the business to drive tighter linkages between systems and processes Responsible for ensuring all appropriate financial controls are in place across rebate operations Communicate effectively to Executive Committee (EC) and others on status and results of key rebate initiatives Build high-performing teams; motivate individuals and drive performance in a high-pressure, fast-paced environmentRequired Qualifications 15+ years of experience in financial operations and/or financial planning & analysis 10+ years of experience in healthcare industry, including health insurance, PBM or pharmacy services Subject matter expertise in Finance, Accounting and Financial Operations, including knowledge of financial principles such as GAAP, FP&A, cash management, and revenue cycle Proficiency with standard analysis tools such as Access, Excel, Visio, and project management tools such as MS Project Significant PBM industry knowledge and understanding of contractual terms, provisions, and terminology Deep understanding of transactional system architecture and financial controls Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex cross-functional teams and ability to lead strategic and cultural change across the organizationCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
