Job Descriptionbswift has an exciting opportunity in its growing Communication Practice for senior-level communication professional with exceptional writing, communication, and marketing skills to support our growing client base. The Employee Communication Director is client-facing, serving as a lead consultant for bswift benefits administration clients. This role's top priority is to help grow the practice by ensuring clients' satisfaction and success and expanding communication work opportunities. The ideal candidate has a background in employee benefits communications and marketing. The ideal candidate also has significant experience creating strategies and managing health and welfare, and Annual Enrollment communication plans.DescriptionPrimary Job Responsibilities: Serve as primary communications strategist accountable for book of business satisfaction, revenue, and performance. Act as senior strategic communications consultant to clients to provide recommendations that drive additional communications revenue including:o Provide communication recommendations to assist in messaging to key audiences, including message refinement, vision setting, and style/method/delivery adjustment.o Facilitate client meetings and planning sessions.o Establish metrics to measure strategy outcomes.o Write (or provide writing direction) or edit for various communications-including website, newsletters, enrollment guides, emails, posters, and postcards.o As needed, provide art direction and brand authenticity by managing creative outlets (design, photography, videography) independently or with team members.o Support implementation of strategies. Manage growing team of communication strategists and client account managers to ensure team delivery of customer commitments. Serve as communications and strategy coach to the team. Participate in new business sales and client retentions to represent the Communications Practice. Scope, price and bid on new work for the Practice. Track revenue pipeline for the Communication Practice. Bachelor's degreeRequired Qualifications Ten years' experience in a formal communications role, preferable in employee benefits communications. Exceptional verbal communication skills, including abilities in presentation, facilitation, and daily client-facing communications. Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to write for various outlets (internal, external, web, emails, newsletters, letters, social, etc.). Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly. Fluency in AP style desired.
