Job DescriptionJoin a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's government services group pharmacy business.This role supports the Aetna & SilverScript Medicare Part D group business by applying analytical skills and actuarial judgement. This role focuses on pricing and supporting our large group customers and the overall group portfolio. The colleague will own the Excel workbook that is tied to the SAS-based pricing model. By owning this, the colleague will develop a strong understanding of how assumption changes will impact the net claims. This will also give the colleague visibility with UW and the Part D Actuarial team.The colleague will: Update and maintain the Excel output workbook for our SAS-based pricing model. Work with Underwriting, Sales, and Account team on large and/or complicated new business and renewal cases. The colleague will take ownership of the pricing for some high profile cases such as State of Illinois. Own annual New York State OHI filing. Complete studies used for assumption setting in our pricing model. Complete tasks independently while collaborating with others. Leverage strong technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions. Exhibit CVS's Heart At Work behaviors. Review assumptions from a business perspective and defend work to management. Develop creative technical solutions to a variety of problems. Leverage Excel, SAS, and other technical options to efficiently complete projects. Independently review work for accuracy and reasonability.#AetnaActuaryRequired Qualifications Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python or similar a plus, as working with large, detailed data sets. Experience using Excel. Strong communication skills. Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to think creatively and use multiple data sources to assess and develop business strategies. Willingness to ask questions and take initiative. Customer-focused mindset and willingness to address concerns of regulators and business/enterprise partners. Ability to turn large data sets into understandable and compelling exhibits/stories. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant change. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
