Utilization Management Nurse Consultant

Job DescriptionPosition Hours: Mon - Friday 8-4:30pmRegistered Nurse - Licensed in CA, must live in CAUtilizes clinical experience and skills in a collaborative process to assess,plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options to facilitateappropriate healthcare services/benefits for members Gathers clinicalinformation and applies the appropriate clinical criteria/guideline, policy,procedure and clinical judgment to render coveragedetermination/recommendation along the continuum of care Communicateswith providers and other parties to facilitate care/treatment Identifiesmembers for referral opportunities to integrate with other products,services and/or programs Identifies opportunities to promote qualityeffectiveness of Healthcare Services and benefit utilization Consults andlends expertise to other internal and external constituents in thecoordination and administration of the utilization/benefit management functionRequired QualificationsRN with current unrestricted state licensure required.3-5 years of clinical experience requiredCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
