Job DescriptionThis can be a work-from-home opportunity anywhere in the U.S.A.Join the Aetna Group Medicare Application Development Team as the enterprise embarks on a journey to reimagine its omnichannel health experience while harnessing cutting-edge technology to streamline and simplify the stakeholder experience. Our team will leverage digital assets like cloud computing to streamline and modernize Group Medicare Advantage Actuarial & Underwriting rating systems.As Senior Manager of Application Development, you will supervise a small team of back-end developers to reimagine Aetna Group Medicare Advantage actuarial and underwriting technology, including pricing models, rating systems, reporting tools and actuarial databases. You will work closely with your front-end counterpart and alongside actuaries and underwriters to understand the business needs and design and build a custom cloud data management solution.Primary Responsibilities:-Collaborate with the front-end lead to design and implement a custom .NET coding policy framework for your team, to govern the implementation of a new back-end code base, incorporating community standards of practice-Design and implement a custom Google Cloud (GCP) coding policy framework to govern the implementation of back-end GCP architecture, incorporating GCP community standards of practice, and including appropriate IAM controls-Perform code and architectural reviews-Conduct requirements analysis-Write clean, scalable queries for consumption by cloud architecture-Revise, update, refactor and debug queries-Collaborate and clearly communicate with various teams, leaders and stakeholders across the organization to design and deliver solutions that meet underwriting and actuarial needs-Support user onboarding, training and adoption activities-Provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to junior team members.Skills you bring:-Ability to manage to a timeline while dealing with continual prioritization conflicts and resource constraints-Ability to effectively work on teams within a highly collaborative environment-Strong skills in design and solution engineering across both on-prem and cloud infrastructure-Understanding of data architecture necessary to enable solutions for analytics, data management, business intelligence, business operations and actuarial scienceRequired Qualifications-8+ years of experience with version control software (Github preferred)-8+ years of experience with cloud computing environments (GCP preferred)-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization-4+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Access & VBA-Familiarity with .NET framework and basic front-end UI designCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
