Job DescriptionThe role of the Manager, Reporting Strategy - Infrastructure is to lead a business focused technical team that supports information delivery for clients and operations. The team is responsible to facilitate critical CMS and Client Required reporting and internal reporting requests. This leader will work with business partners to leverage existing data sources to drive innovative, efficient, and risk mitigation solutions. This role will focus on leading technical architecture, database management, data modeling, and infrastructure support. They will be responsible to manage technical resources that maintain the data ecosystem, manage the infrastructure for Member Services Reporting, and conduct peer code reviews for developers. This position is the technical owner of the database and BI tool designs and implementation and will liaison with database and server administrators ensuring the environment is maintained by overseeing tech currency, upgrades, patching, backups, data masking, security controls, and capacity planning. The team is also responsible to develop and maintain a current & future state architecture and will provide impact analysis and roadmap planning for the reporting ecosystem.Responsibilities:- Lead a team of technical professionals with roles including DBAs, architects, and designers that support ongoing reporting from data ingestion through to report and BI delivery. This position will mentor, coach, and lead data driven professionals to deliver quality and timely reporting by meeting established SLAs and adhering to best practices. Will support related projects for data impact analysis and effort estimation input into project plans and subsequent delivery.- Own and foster good working partnerships within the matrixed organization including the upstream CRM and Warehouse teams, client Account Managers and Operational leads, and Enabling Business Intelligence software teams.- Drive effective and efficient strategy for people, process, and technology. Hire and develop technical talent, inspect and adapt processes to align with and support changing products and services, and improve overall data literacy of reporting analysts and customer adoption of self-service report options.- Support the development team to automate high quality modeled data assets using ETL tools like MS SQL Data tools that support adhoc and ongoing reporting. Builds and maintains reference architecture of current and future state, coordinate software evaluation for data wrangling, integration, and BI tools in the tech stack used for data delivery.Required Qualifications5+ years experience supporting data applications, by designing and planning reference architecture, tech currency, regulatory compliance, and various support levels based on SLA.5+ years of experience in database structure/design to support Reporting Development in a high-performing and highly engaged reporting team within a PBM business operations environment.- Leadership experience, ability to lead people and projects- Data Management experience, understand best practices of data modeling and data flows- Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to speak with technical and non-technical audiences. Prepare and deliver presentations, facilitate meetings, and influence others.- Experience with databases, BI tools, and coding languages like SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Tableau, Alteryx and data concepts like normalization and denormalization, indexing, and partitioning.
