This outstanding community hospital in the Central Valley is actively interviewing for an Interim Nursing Manager to take oversight of this busy high-risk Labor and Delivery department. You''ll join a strong and talented leadership team, and you''ll lead a dedicated staff of Birthing Center RNs and caregivers in this technologically advanced hospital.This community hospital in the Central Valley has a history of superior patient outcomes, a full range of offered services, and a family atmosphere. The interim Nursing Manager of Labor and Delivery will play an integral, yet temporary role in continuing and improving the hospital''s mission of compassionate care.Reporting to the Administrative Director of Obstetrics, Women''s, and Children''s Services, the Labor / Delivery Interim Nursing Manager will serve as clinical and administrative lead for a dedicated team. Reporting to this Manager is an L&D Asst. Nurse Manager and two RNC-OB Charge Nurses who will support policy development, quality improvement, and execution of unit directives. Furthermore, the Labor and Delivery Manager will serve as a mentor and champion for OBGYN and RNC-OB Registered Nurses, and a cross department leader for Postpartum Nurses, Midwives, and support staff.The Interim Labor and Delivery Nursing Manager will oversee an amazing and family oriented department, which offers a wide array of services to the community. The Labor and Delivery department offers 18 LDRP rooms, 7 OB Triage Rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU Rooms. Experience leading an active and progressive antepartum / intrapartum services department will be crucial as this unit sees over 350 births per month and the census remains quite high.The Interim Nursing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining clinical and operational excellence for not only the Birthing Services Unit, but also the hospital. Clinically, the Nursing Manager will serve the staff and unit as a source of expertise, mentorship, and performance improvement. From an administration standpoint, you''ll develop and maintain the departmental budget, and you''ll serve as the expert on compliance and regulatory readiness for these multiple units.One of the most iconic regions of California, the California Central Valley has played a major role in making the state what it is today.
