We boldly go.This job has been designated as OnsiteResponsibilities: Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems. Documentation of parts and bills of materials Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings and sketches. Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors. Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials. Must be customer driven, innovative and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties. Develop and exercise good communication skills. Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures. May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel. Receives generalized information and instruction pertaining to assignment from engineers or senior staff. Work direction, content and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members. May direct and coordinate work activity of personnel in lower rank or clerical assistance.Qualifications: Associate Degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic design from an accredited technical school and at least three (3) years of design experience or five (5) years of Trane or Climate Solutions practical experience with acceptable references. Must understands basic principles of designing equipment, drafting and computer aided design and applies principles to assigned tasks. Must have working knowledge of CAD graphic system. Must have working knowledge of Solid works Creo or equivalent Must Function and contribute in a technical engineering "team" environment Must be customer driven and quality minded in performing all assigned duties Experience with HVAC&R systems is a plus Ability to travel. Expected travel time ~ 10ºse Compensation Range is $44,500 to $90,000Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages.
