EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC GROWTH INITIATIVES - REAL WORLD DATA *We are looking to fill this role in North America. The role offers 100% remote flexibility. Our mission is to leverage our significant therapy area and real world data expertise to develop differentiated real world data products and service offerings to accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes. Position Overview: In addition to customer engagement, this position will collaborate across the organization to identify potential real world data assets, use cases and opportunities to support customers and their data needs. The Executive Director will: Lead the operations, business planning, product development, Go to market strategy and execution for the Real World Data (RWD) business. Focus on identification of potential data providers, fostering development and execution of strategic partnerships aligned to RWD''s overarching business vision. Support product development and project management activities to build differentiated data solutions (DaaS) and software solutions (SaaS) aligned to broad set of customer use cases Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Leads the development of the annual EMR focused Real World Data (RWD) strategic planning in partnership with the RWDS practice area head, including assessment of RWD market landscape (and identification of data gaps), annual operating planning, operational assessment and Go To Market strategy to sustain long term advantage and market differentiation Identifies key market trends (therapy areas, geography, use cases) and areas of RWD differentiation for partnership and product exploration Ensures resource allocation and hiring aligned with budget planning Identifies, engages, develops and manages partnerships with potential third party data organizations, augmenting existing data solutions and bringing novel solutions to market Collaborates with finance and legal teams to ensure mutually beneficial financial and legal partnership structure Collaborates with data analytics, product development and project management teams to assess data fidelity and develop differentiated products aligned with customer needs Collaborates with marketing and sales operations to align on product value proposition, target customers and development of effective Go To Market messaging and supporting product launches Identifies and engages potential RWD customers to drive optimal commercial outcomes Collaborates with Real World Data Solutions EMR abstraction organization on joint product solutions, Go To Market strategy and customer engagement Engages senior leadership to provide periodic business updates and align on broader organizational data strategy Education, Professional Skills & Experience: MS, PhD, MBA or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred Prior experience commercialization of RWD or RWD analytics 10 years of progressive experience in the life sciences industry at a pharmaceutical data vendor or pharma company with an analytics or data sciences background Deep knowledge of Real World Data/Evidence landscape, including types of data sources, potential data vendors, processes and technologies Deep knowledge of multiple therapy areas (including oncology) and/or ability to rapidly digest and apply scientific information to support potential RWE use cases Personal Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and business acumen with ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously Proactive leader with intellectual curiosity and demonstrated strategic and tactical planning skills Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into growth opportunities for the business Strong collaboration skills, including building and maintaining trusted relationships across functions Strategic and creative thinking with excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills Exceptional influencing and negotiating skills to establish credibility and trust with executives both internally and with partners Who we are?
