Job Description As the Lead Engineer, ServiceNow, you will cultivate partnerships with our product owners, business partners and Data/Technology/Engineering (DTE) to understand business and technical needs and to recommend, design, build, support and manage the implementation of new solutions and integrations on the ServiceNow platform. RESPONSIBILITIES: While this role will be a part of the enterprise team, it will be closely aligned with an initial dual focus on Nuvolo with the Facilities team on one hand as well as the GRC module working with the Information Assurance team on the other. Understand business partners'' needs and vision, and deliver ServiceNow solutions to support and enable their goals and objectives Lead business requirements/user stories discussions (or partner with analysts), perform gap analyses, recommend solution designs, configure existing ServiceNow modules, develop custom applications, and develop integrations Advise business partners on all key technical decisions during project delivery Ensure collaboration and hand-off to support team post delivery while remaining a subject matter expert and escalation point Collaborate with our on- and off-shore managed services team on projects, enhancements, and maintenance activities Stay current on new ServiceNow features/releases and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption Work with Internal Controls, audit support teams, Quality and Testing and Validation teams as needed, to meet SOX/GxP regulatory/validation and change management requirements Act as liaison to testing/validation team and Quality. Other GxP activities include: maintaining the configuration workbook, functional requirements document, data validation scripts and traceability for out of the box functionality Research and apply available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customizations function as expected. Work with business partners to plan timing, testing and communication of these activities Perform day to day support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow Platform Vertex''s current ServiceNow footprint includes: Nuvolo (facilities and lab asset management), GRC (Audit Management, Policy and Compliance), ITSM (Service Portal, Incident, Problem, Request, Change, Knowledge and Service Level Agreements), ITAM (Hardware asset management), HRSD (Employee Service Portal, Case and Knowledge Management, Onboarding & Transition), ITBM (Project Portfolio Management, Demand and Enhancements), Custom applications using Studio (career hub, savings tracker ...), Performance Analytics (Reporting and Dashboards), Integration Hub, numerous other integrations. Vertex also plans to continue expanding its use of the platform in partner in both existing and new business areas: Human Resources, Security Incident Response and Vulnerability, ITOM Visibility (Discovery and Service Mapping), Software Asset Management, Custom Applications, GRC, and more. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Knowledge or experience in implementing supporting ServiceNow core modules Working knowledge of configurations such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Access Controls, Notifications, Flow Designers and Workflows Strong skills/experience with Nuvolo and GRC as well as custom apps. Incident Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Service Request, Asset Management, Knowledge Management are a plus. Knowledge of web-based development technologies, specifically - JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, Angular & CSS Experience working on Web Services integrations such as REST, JSON & SOAP and working in a SAAS Environment Familiar with LDAP, SSO Implementation Working & implementation experience with Service Portal Functional knowledge of Project Management, Agile and SDLC Methodologies Experience with building custom applications Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities Self-motivated Knowledge, familiarity, or experience with Nuvolo Enterprise Asset Management, GRC, custom app Familiarity with GxP and SDLC Validation process Knowledge, familiarity, or experience working within a pharmaceutical industry in a validated environment Service Now Certification would be helpful REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field is required Typically requires 6 years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience Company Information Vertex is a global biotechnology company that invests in scientific innovation.
