Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for efficient and accurate work management and timely prioritization of Specialty medication prior authorization referrals reviewed by the Case Review Unit for the Specialty Guideline Management Programs. The role provides support to the Prior Authorization Department in meeting client expectations regarding efficiency, service levels, privacy maintenance and quality of decision-making. It is Responsible for maintaining compliance with ERISA, CMS, and client specific requirements. The responsibilities included will be ongoing monitoring of staff performance metrics, responding to required client QA reports, and provide recommendations for operational improvements. This position will also require providing direction and maintaining the responsibilities of Technician levels I, II, and III. This position will also act as a conduit between the Case Review Unit and the Specialty Guideline Management Clincial Team for providing updated program protocols.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 18.51Maximum: 33.65Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications1. Able to apply basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel and Word required; Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio preferable. Keyboard skills essential. Must have ability to quickly learn new computer applications.2. Basic pharmaceutical knowledge pertaining to terminology, calculations and protocols.3. Ability to lead and mentor colleagues 4. Must be able to utilize available resources independently and provide high quality work. Must be able to absorb presented information, display motivation, seek development and problem solve. Must have ability to follow directions and multi-task.5. Abillity to adapt and change with workflow and shifting priorities.6. Must possess excellent written, verbal, grammar, and listening communication skills.7. Must be able to deal with a diverse customer base (internal and external) in a friendly and confident manner.8. Ability to maintain confidentiality of PHI (Protected Healthcare Information).9. Seeks ways to collaborate and reach consensus with peers; Actively works to build strong working relationships; Able to customize messages and deliver to broader audiences; Demonstrates troubleshooting, problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Demonstrates sense of urgency with assignments.10.
