Job DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity to join a small team of innovators and problem solvers with a focus on digital data from products like the Aetna Health website and app. We are a collaborative team of data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers. We work directly with digital software engineers/developers, product owners, executives, and more to answer hard questions, come up with creative solutions, and deploy services.As a Senior Cloud Engineer, your work will develop solutions that will enable others on the team to get the most out of our cloud environments. Your work has the potential to help millions of our digital product users. You will need to be self-motivated, an expert in at least one cloud technology, an excellent communicator, and a team player.Fundamental Components:In this role, you will use your experience with cloud technologies, system integration, and big data to help build and manage our digital and health based cloud platform. You will work on cutting-edge applications and products. Brainstorming with architects, product managers, data scientists and fellow engineers to build data products used to improve the health outcomes of millions of this role you will be responsible for the: As part of a small team of highly skilled data engineers and data scientists, you will own significant responsibility in designing, developing and maintaining our large-scale ETL pipelines, storage, and processing services in our cloud environments Lead POCs to demonstrate new ideas and influence the future direction of our technology stack Establish frameworks for quickly rolling out new AI microservices for standalone data-driven products and micro-services Collaborate with architects, engineers, and data scientists to leverage cloud technologies and architectures to create, improve, simplify, and/or accelerate processes Mentor and share knowledge with the teamThis role has the flexibility to work remotely anywhere in the U.S. but would ideally be based in Denver, CO or willing to travel occasionally for meetings.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 95,000Maximum: 209,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a cloud engineer working with AWS or GCP (bonus points if you have experience with both) 3+ years of experience coding in Python Proficient in working with Linux or other Unix operating systems, shell scripting, and networking technologies Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices design architecture Experience developing ETL workflows Problem solver with ability to adapt ideas/pivot when faced with blockers Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
