Job SummaryThe Senior Systems Engineer, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) is responsible for integrating Enterprise level software to the equipment on the manufacturing plant floor at all of ZB sites globally.í‚ This position works from a remote office location, as well as, the manufacturing plant floor. í‚ Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilitate interfacing the equipment on the manufacturing plant floor with enterprise level software, such as terface with manufacturing, maintenance, vendors, and other IT teams, such as networking as required.Verify there is a Plant Network Connection and a Static IP address at the equipment. Investigate networking options in the event the equipment does not have Plant Network Connectivity.While most equipment will be controlled by either a CNC or PLC controller, some equipment will have other types of controllers. You will be responsible to identify the controller, its communications capabilities, and any modifications or upgrades needed to implement the MOM team software.CNCs currently in use include, but are not limited to, FANUC, and Siemens.PLCs currently in use include, but are not limited to, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, G.E, Mitsubishi, Omron, and Siemens.HMIs currently in use include, but are not limited to, Allen-Bradley, Parker, and Proface.Assist with ALM testing.Provide primary customer support 24/7/365Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.Provide technical support to external and internal customers for new and existing machinery.Assist in verification and validation of engineered system (hardware and/or software) to specifications.Assist with the design and implementation of Wonderware architecture.Assist in developing InTouch HMI screens.Expected Areas of CompetenceLanguage Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals or procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. í‚ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong English verbal and written communication skills.Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Ability to manage simultaneous projects in a matrix organization across multiple regions.Must be self-directed and able to work with individuals at all levels, including executive management.Customer focused.Strong change management and relationship skills.í‚ Education/Experience RequirementsBachelor''s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration with at least 5+ Years of hands-on experience with industrial electrical controls systems, utilized in a manufacturing environment.3+ Years'' experience supporting the IT needs of a large engineering and/or manufacturing user population in a business analysis / Subject Matter Expert (SME) position.Experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g. FDA) is helpful.Travel RequirementsThis position is based in Warsaw, Indiana, partially remote, with approximately 25% of travel required. í‚ International travel may be required.Additional InformationEOE/M/F/Vet/DisabilityAt Zimmer Biomet, we believe in The Power of Us, which means that we are stronger together.
