Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Media Strategy and Planning role is a central facet within the Dupixent Franchise Marketing team supporting the media planning activities across multiple indications. Working under the guidance of the Director, Media Strategy & Planning, this role constructs the strategic foundation for media plan development and makes sure all tactical plans are grounded in these guiding principles. As a key team member, he/she will work closely with internal stakeholders, external business partners, and the external media planning agency. This includes the coordination of parties and ensuring streamlined communications are achieved. The Senior Manager will apply his/her knowledge of industry trends to both Consumer (B2C) and Professional (HCP) targeted campaigns. This role includes managing channel & tactical planning initiatives across multiple digital and offline channels, in-campaign optimizations to drive greater campaign results, and maintaining/monitoring the media campaigns. He/she will supervise all team Media projects, ensuring they are completed accurately, and on time and reflect both practical and strategic thinking. This role is based in Cambridge, MA. Travel Requirements: < 10% Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day Media campaign planning & execution Responsible for ensuring campaigns deliver on goals, objectives & established KPIs Provide consistent media campaign/channel performance readouts to business stakeholders in partnership with Analytics and key agency partners Co-lead optimization recommendations of existing performance dashboard to ensure media performance insights are readily identifiable Support development of media asset roadmap (the tactical asset requirements to fulfill buys) Contribute to discovery parameters delivery: competitive landscape, target audience media usage & consumption habits, customer insights, etc. Contribute to the development of presentations that articulate media strategies and tactics with supporting rationale to secure internal approval & alignment to activate plans Drive performance optimization opportunities and buy adjustments as needed for optimizations, etc. Drive development of campaign-level scopes of work from media agency Budget management & reporting, invoice & billing reconciliation, etc. Position Requirements Education Required: Undergraduate BA/BS degree in applicable discipline Experience Required: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in media Solid understanding of all offline & online channels (TV, Audio, Online Video, Paid Social, Programmatic, Paid Search, Point of Care, Affiliates) Thorough knowledge of media landscape & emerging technologies across both B2C & B2B markets Deep understanding of media principles & best practices Foundational understanding of marketing, advertising & media analytics Exceptional communicator, including written, verbal, presentation & listening skills Team spirit, collaborative nature, strong work ethic & computer proficiency Great attention to detail, strong organizational skills & ability to manage important financial documents & timelines Experience managing media agencies from client side role is a plus Demonstrated ability to prioritize & manage against business demands across a portfolio of brand/product needs Experience in Pharma/Biopharma or another highly regulated industry preferred Competencies and Skills Functional Skills/ Knowledge Supports business planning & budgeting process for selected activities In-depth understanding of the evolving media landscape & ability to interpret & apply understanding back to specific brand strategies to yield the greatest possible impact on business performance In-depth understanding of media as a marketing channel including, digital display (e.g., banner ads), paid search/ search engine marketing, print advertising, out-of-home & video Understands the concepts & utility of tagging & taxonomy Strong planning & organization skills Understanding of channel preferences for different customer types (e.g., Healthcare Providers, Consumers) & way different customer types consume information by channel Understanding of regulations involved with marketing pharmaceutical products Works effectively in a multi-task environment Sets and/or meets deadlines, schedules & goals Capable of managing budgets & other resources to reach goals and/or serve customers Sets appropriate priorities Displays strong sense of urgency Keeps others informed of decisions, changes, objectives, budgets, priorities, and accomplishments Presents clear, concise, well organized written and oral communications Shares concepts, ideas, information and suggestions with others Technical Knowledge No specialized technical knowledge required Business Experience Vendor relationship management Strong business acumen - ability to quickly understand business & market needs Leadership Capabilities/ Interpersonal Skills Willing to reach out to others to gain new insight into their work, & connect beyond their immediate role to ensure a broader picture of the work in the unit Able to objectively review quantitative & qualitative data & feedback from their leader & team on performance & identify key areas for attention Connecting with others to ensure that plans are aligned & to unlock any conflicting priorities Problem Solving Demonstrates solution-oriented approach & proficient problem solving skills Analysis Synthesizes complex & diverse information, recognizes trends or interrelationships in marketing data, seeks ideal long-term solutions Additional Role Expectations Stays up-to-date on media innovations from within and outside the Pharma industry Key Interactions: Works with people across the Alliance (Sanofi & Regeneron) Omnichannel Marketing Brand Marketing Analytics Team Procurement Finance Service Providers Creative Agencies Reporting Structure: The Sr. Manager, Media Strategy and Planning role reports directly to the Head, US Commercial Strategy & Portfolio Marketing, Dupixent As a healthcare company and a vaccine manufacturer, Sanofi has an important responsibility to protect individual and public health.
