Job Description

Our client is in the logistics / freight / ocean import industry and is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $60k - $65k Annually Position Overview: The Account Receivable Specialist will be performing daily accounts receivable activities. They will mainly update AR system, contact customers for outstanding invoices, prepare AR meetings and process credit extensions. This role is onsite and company offers 26 days of remote work annually. Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist: Contact with each customer weekly on overdue invoices and current invoices Update A/R log with detailed collection notes listing actions on each invoice and timely follow-up Proactively identify and help resolve problem accounts Build key relationships with clients and internal staff to more effectively resolve issues and collect payment on invoices quickly Process credit extensions Review/monitor the approved credit limit Report weekly on slow-paying clients and aged invoices Provide weekly updates in AR meeting with management Have a weekly one-on-one meeting with Operational departments Support the Accounting department with miscellaneous projects and assignments ARC reconciliation month-end A/R analytical month-end Trade A/R and 120 month-end Take part in internal meetings with Account Management Take charge of refunds / credits Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Specialist: Good data entry and computer skills Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize a demanding workload Effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills Solid understanding of accounting processes(Credit, GL,AR, and AP) Strong analytical skills Very detailed-orientated Strong organizational and time management skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Aptitude for learning new software applications Process improvement-driven Education Requirements: Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree and equivalent experience Benefits: Health Dental Vision 401k PTO As a woman-owned firm, we value diversity.
