Field Engineering Tech Supervisor

Description Job Description:Leidos is seeking a Field Engineering Tech Supervisor to advise the field engineers as they perform their day-to-day operations. This is a 100% remote position. The budget for this position is between $55K-$75K dependent on education and experience.Field Engineering Tech Supervisor Responsibilities: The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations for the field engineering tech staff and oversee their progress/performance. This will include scheduling, progress reports, customer outreach, and check-ins. The field engineer techs travel in areas from Fresno, CA to Redding, CA and collect data, field measurements, and photos of utility poles. The data is then relayed to the candidate to process for Leidos designers to implement solutions and fixes. These poles have maintenance concerns identified by PG&E. Candidate will also be provided design-related tasks when not performing managerial responsibilities.While the field engineering technician staff will be in California, this position can be accomplished remotelyCandidate will have a 1-2 week training periodCandidate may be required to go to California for 1-2 weeks to meet the field engineering tech staff and learn how to field poles in the California areaField Engineering Tech Supervisor Required Qualifications: High School diploma required with 3-5 years of experience The ideal candidate has prior distribution experience, preferably field work and distribution component identification.Candidates must be able to work in both team and independent environments and to organize work to meet deadlinesVery strong organizational skillsStrong managerial and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communications skillsField Engineering Tech Supervisor Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor''s Degree with 1-2 years relevant experience Knowledge of NESC Standards and Client StandardsIn this role, you can also expect to gain:NESC expertiseStructural Pole ModelingElectrical Power CalculationsGIS design trainingProject managementFinancial managementLeidos is a trusted and future-focused solutions provider.
