Operations Support will be responsible for warehouse duties, administrative responsibilities, and day-to-day operations support, including but not limited to planning, budgeting, scheduling, delivery, inventory accuracy, business metrics, and safety-related functions. The Operations Manager must successfully adhere to the organizations'' levels of service and values.Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policyOversee that all delivery personnel adhere to OSHA and GMS policies while working in the warehouse and at the jobsitePerform weekly and monthly GMS management safety reviews in collaboration with the Safety ManagerOversee the cleanliness and maintenance of warehouse and yard areasPrepare orders by processing requests: pull accurate materials and place in appropriate area for customer pick up or delivery; loading and unloading trucks as necessaryMaintain inventory controls through minimizing materials damage and ensuring order accuracyBe able to organize the warehouse and manage bin locationsEstablish, maintain and promote high standards of customer serviceWorkers are required to lift up to 50 lbs., walk or stand for most of the shift, and wear protective gear and steel-toed bootsEnsure that equipment is maintained to company operating standardsAppropriately responding to and managing telephone calls and mail/email requestsAssisting with the day end proceduresPrepare, track, and manage preliminary noticesPrepare and receive items for shipping via Fed Ex, UPS, and standard mail dailyDeliver, process and respond to mailAssist front counter with customer inquiries and direct calls appropriatelyAssist Office Manager and/or Branch Manager with day to day responsibilities regarding customer orders, invoices, office supplies,and maintenanceScan, copyand organize important documents and filesOther Competencies: Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactiveCommunicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customersBasic Qualifications:High school diploma preferredMust have a valid driver''s licenseForklift experienceKnowledge & use of general office administration/management practices & technologyDemonstrated proficiency in working with Microsoft Office productsStrong verbal & written communication skillsStrong organizational, analytical, & problem solving skillsPhysical Demands:Must be able to remain in stationary position 70%Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.Must be able to operate basic office machinery Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
