Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)FULL TIMEConnected Health Care is searching for passionate nurses for an established Health Care system near Storm Lake, IA for their OR department. Our client will teach you the necessary skills required for high tech aspects of the OR. Responsibilities:Ensure safe and effective nursing care until your patient is transferred from your care to recoveryOversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, including utilization of preference cards and ability to anticipate your surgeons needsCoordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulatorFacilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical proceduresUtilize appropriate body mechanics in moving your patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injuryManage your patients care and medication, including assistance with anesthesiaConsistently review your charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedureDevelops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going itiates assessment based on the patient''s problems or needs, the physician''s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.Details: M-F 7am-3:30pm shift. On call is needed 1 to 2 nights a week and every third weekend. Experience: 3-5 years preferred in surgery.
