Veterinary Technician

Full time CVT (or equivalent experience) needed to join our progressive and rapidly growing paperless practice.Must be proficient in:Phlebotomy-Collecting and test lab samplesAnesthesia- Preparing animals for exams or surgery, monitoring during surgery and after care.CatheterizationSurgical supportRadiologyObserving and monitoring patients.Assisting in seeing appointments and discharging surgery/hospitalized patients.Ask probing questions about the reason for the visitRecord case history, weight, temperature and other detailsRestrain and stabilize animals during examination and treatmentTrim nails, express anal glands, remove sutures and perform other routine proceduresAdminister medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by a veterinarianProvide basic education on animal care, nutrition and medical conditionsTeach clients how to administer medicines at homeRecommend products for optimal wellness, such as vitamins, supplements, dental cleaning, flea control, geriatric care and dietary measuresCare Animal Hospital of Libertyville is a rapidly growing, busy, 3 doctor practice, looking to add to our friendly and hard working team.
