Job DescriptionThe LD Director is responsible for developing and driving the Health Care Business (HCB) IT Architecture strategy and technology roadmap across the Non-Production environments. This role will partner closely with HCB Business units, DBA's, Architecture, Infrastructure & DevOps to contribute to the strategy of the Non-Prod Environment & Data Transformation program.You should possess executive presence and the ability to constantly think strategically with the capability to overcome hurdles encountered in a very timely manner. You should have great attention to detail, even while handling multiple priorities. In this role you will act as the Lead Director for HCB IT leveraging significant enterprise experience in the understanding of the Non-Prod environments and hands-on delivery of solutions to partner with the domain delivery to maintain current and future-state strategies and roadmaps for each IT/Business area utilizing the Non-Production environments. This includes having strong ability to look around the corner at solutions that will help drive the strategy for the Non-Production environments. The LD Director is an important role that bridges the gap between IT Mainframe applications, DevOps and technology solutions to improve the automation of code backfilling, Data Refreshes, End2End Testing automation, development of a Golden Data repository, development of a Data Extract Tool and much more in the Non-Prod Environments. It encompasses: Drive and develop consumer driven solutions teamsLead the Non-Prod Environment & Data Transformation workstreams, working with multiple IT teams and supporting teams like DBA's, Architects and Infrasturcture; Provide deep domain knowledge on the technical domain and a range of technologies within that technical area of Non-Prod environments. Drive the creation of the program roadmap and vision for the technology platform, in alignment with the program visiono Path Transformationo Golden Data o Code backfillingo End2End Testing Automation Establishes and analyzes staffing requirements to meet project deliverables. Responsible for implementing technical solutions consistent with IT Standards Maintains relationships with vendors and professional organizations. May manage the selection, evaluation, contracting, and integration of externally available application software to deliver business system solutions. Selects and builds strong functional teams through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring, and other development techniques. Manages and is responsible for development of IT project cost estimates, benefits, and assessment of potential risks. Manages budgets, plans and expenses; may have cost center responsibilities. Directs and implements strategic direction and policies consistent with the strategic objectives and plans of the business units and the enterprise technology strategy. Enforces the utilization of accepted methodology & tools in a disciplined mannerLeverage best practices ,tools, industry standards Build and nurture an effective architecture community of practice, and drive the definition of design principles and best practices across the technical platform; Guide and develop communication strategies for persuading executive stakeholders and driving adoption of architectural patterns and technology roadmaps; Support vendor management activities with key vendors such as cloud providers, and drive early adoption activities and vendor technology roadmap discussions; Work closely for opportunities from architects and engineers within the technical domain that support the efforts of the program. Knowledge and experience working in the Non-Prod environment setup in support of development, testing and releases Vendor assessment and choice. Agile methods and practices, including scaled agile frameworks. Success persuading and influencing senior stakeholders on program strategies and technical roadmaps. A proven track record of driving defined strategies and cross domain collaboration.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 120,000Maximum: 265,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications Overall 10+ years of professional IT experience A minimum of five years professional level experience in strategic program development and business model development. 5+ years HCB experience 5+ years as an developer Prior knowledge of Aetna (HCB) data and environment process is a plus Hands-on support for Mainframe technology solutions (i.e. DB2, CICS, MQ) & Endeavor Experience with API solutions (IIB, APIC) architecture Experience in DevSecOps implementations, including Code migration Tools like - GitHub, Jenkins, Team City, Auto RabitLiqubase) along with Endeavor Understanding of industry best practices In depth knowledge of the Healthcare industry, insurance knowledge and broader enterprise technology experience Prior experience that demonstrates the candidate's ability to successfully evaluate opportunities, creatively design and effectively deploy innovative initiatives or solutions that achieve the desired results. Proven expertise in creating and integrating innovation initiatives within a dynamic work environment Strong business acumen and ability to quickly convert strategic and operational issues into innovation opportunities that achieve the goals of the organization, operating unit and enterprise. Must be independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individuals. Thought leadership & excellent communication skills Deep collaboration skills and ability to work as a team player seeking alignment and able to influence outcomes Ability to multi-task and manage to aggressive deliverable dates required Must be able to collaborate across the organization with business units and product development teams.
