Job DescriptionIndividual will work at the CHI dispensing pharmacy. The primary responsibility is to troubleshoot issues and develop improvements to the existing automated processes. Secondarily, gather data and develop/publish reports for existing automated processes, initially using somewhat manual/labor intensive methods, while in parallel leading efforts to develop more error-proof/automated mid/long-term reporting solutions. Will work closely with the operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop and implement solutions that will positively impact quality, service, cost, and capacity. Also collaborate with and support the other dispensing pharmacies, as dividual will utilize statistical tools and follow a six-sigma approach to process improvement. His or her background should be in engineering, preferably in the electrical machine controls or mechanical engineering disciplines.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 60,300Maximum: 126,600Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:1. Experience maintaining/troubleshooting material handling systems, particularly in a pharmacy setting.2. Develop/enhance reporting solutions to identify repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect pharmacy operations, and engineering solutions to address them. These may include capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility, utilize one or more of the following techniques: Six Sigma Methodology Data Mining Statistical Process Control (SPC) Predictive Analysis, Regression Analysis, etc. Root-Cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA) Fault Tree Analysis Reliability Modeling and Prediction3. Work with engineering and operations management to analyze automation-driven systems, including: Equipment Availability Equipment Performance Equipment Quality Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Asset Utilization Remaining useful life Other parameters that define operating conditions, reliability, and cost of assets4. Program/troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications, with a focus on the Allen-Bradley line of PLC products.5. Develop/amend detailed design and installation specifications for automation equipment/processes to ensure that data elements required for system analysis/reporting are included, along with commissioning plans.6. Participate in a collaborative vendor evaluation/selection process for new automation equipment/processes, with a specific focus on each vendor's ability to incorporate the data elements required for system analysis/reporting in their design.7. Analyze engineering-design concepts and proposals for new automation equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems, with a focus on operational reliability and each vendor's ability to incorporate the data elements required for system analysis/reporting in their design, using knowledge of reliability engineering concepts/practices.8. Work with external vendors and internal resources to ensure that data elements required for system analysis/reporting are incorporated in the automation equipment control system software and integrated with/collected by the SCADA system.9. Review supplier documentation and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.9. Help develop criteria for and evaluation of equipment and suppliers. Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria.10. Observe and/or conduct tests at supplier and pharmacy locations to evaluate reliability factors, such as causes and frequencies of system failures.11. Train staff on new automation equipment and new features on existing automation equipment.12. Proficient with Microsoft Office/365 suite of software products.13.
