Front End Engineer, Application Security Development

DESCRIPTION Job summaryHelp us protect all Amazon customers, from Amazon Fresh to Fulfillment Centers. We are looking for a security-focused front-end engineer who wants to make a difference to ensure that protecting customer data is at the forefront of all development. Key job responsibilitiesYou will design and develop tools used by all Amazon developers to identify, track, and eliminate security issues throughout the software development lifecycle. You will be challenged by scale and latency constraints as you build features that delight your users, and you will learn about and integrate with critical systems across Amazon. We believe in experimentation, iterating quickly and getting feedback from our customers. About the teamThis team is building the next generation of tools Amazonians use to continuously assess the security state of their applications/products. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * 2+ years of professional non-internship experience with front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS* Experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React or Angular* Experience with at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, C/C++, C)* Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, and a preference for agile development. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of professional front end development.* Experience building reusable UX components or libraries* Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers* Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy* Strong UX design skills* Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiencesAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
