General Summary: The Florida House of Representatives is seeking a Senior Information Systems Programmer/Analyst to work in the Office of Information Technology. The Senior Information Systems Programmer/Analyst must have competency, knowledge, and a thorough understanding in networking fundamentals including the OSI model, VOIP communications, switching and routing concepts and protocols, Cisco switches, routers and cloud based services, Aruba Wireless, F5 experience strongly desired. The job is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of cyber security threats and defenses including perimeter security, anti-malware, intrusion prevention and vulnerability assessment, security awareness education and training, vendor assessments and log and monitoring management systems. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED Install, Configure, Deploy, Manage and Maintain Cisco network devices. Install, Configure, Deploy, Manage and Maintain Aruba wireless network devices. Install, Configure, Deploy, Manage and Maintain Cisco VIOP devices. Configure, Manage and Maintain WebEx room kits, codecs, and support devices. Configure, Manage and Maintain F5 appliances. Utilize monitoring and management systems for ensuring proactive network, server and system management.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of Cisco Firepower and/or ASA Knowledge of Cisco IOS Knowledge of direct CLI configuration Knowledge of wireless networking concepts and configuration Knowledge of VPN concepts and configuration Knowledge of network fundamentals and troubleshooting Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals Knowledge of WebEx and other video conference technologies Knowledge of LogRhythm Knowledge of files systems, disk partitioning, quotas, and data security Knowledge of VMware ESXi/vSphere 6 and above Knowledge of cloud-based environments and functionality Knowledge of Windows Server administration; Windows 2012 R2 or above Knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems, Windows 10 and above Ability to creating detailed network diagrams Ability to perform system hardening based on known and discovered vulnerabilities Ability to process information logically Ability to communicate technical information effectively, verbally and in writing, including in laymans terms Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Ability to analyze and solve problems Ability to produce quality work under pressure Ability to read and understand technical information Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or engineering and two years of progressively responsible information systems experience. Progressively responsible information systems experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Any combination of progressively responsible information systems experience and post-secondary training in disciplines as described above totaling six years.
