The senior role specifically includes providing leadership for a particular regional team, field expertise, and additional exposure to interesting and complex project work. It is a flexible and diverse position that includes data analysis, light market research, frequent contacts with customers, on-site technical evaluations, financial modeling, informal team management, and business prioritization- all focused on distributed energy resources such as solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging.What You''ll Do at Enel:Responsibilities, include, but not limited to: Support a team of Sales and Business Development professionals in the solutions engineering process for behind-the-meter (near term) and front-of-the-meter (long term) clean energy technology solutions. Possesses deep technology and application knowledge of energy storage, solar, electric vehicle charging, and other distributed energy resources (DERs) Co-develops strategy and associated tactics for closing Enel X business within a team environment for a defined geographic region. Has insight into changing technology and evolving competitive threats to continuously improve and refine product and solution offerings in a fast-changing market Coordinates Regional Solutions Engineering resources to maintain workload balance, manage modeling queue in coordination with Regional Sales Mgr (RSM), and gather requirements for modeling tool development needs Serves to mentor other team members in a particular regions solutions engineering team, organizing and prioritizing day-to-day tasks and translating regional needs to the manager or director Highly flexible in day-to-day activities; works independently in partnership with sales, product marketing, product management, and engineering as a critical link between internal technical resources, the end customer and key stakeholders Visit customer sites to identify customer requirements, gather energy data and inspect existing equipment and configurations in order to make pre-sales solutions recommendations Work in close coordination with key technical contacts within the Engineering and Operations organizations; supports site level pre-engineering development and analysis Drives revenue by clearly communicating the range of solutions and corresponding benefits across the spectrum of performance, cost, risk and compliance to provide value to the customer while maximizing business results Quickly and accurately identifies recommended solutions to problems that are not fully constrained Contributes to the development of technical documentation, webinar presentations, and articles on products, services, and applications as part of Enel X thought leadership initiatives What You''ve Accomplished: Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related technical degree. MS degree in Engineering, or related technical degree preferred. 7+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years experience in a customer-facing role such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, application engineering, field engineering or other technical support role 3+ years of demonstrated technical experience in distributed generation in a commercial and industrial context strongly preferred, but at least a related field such as energy efficiency or energy management. Located in assigned territory to enable regular close contact with key customers, vendors and stakeholders May be located in New York City region, Boston region, the San Francisco Bay area, or remote. Site walks of facilities within those regions may be required. Self-motivated, comfortable operating without day-to-day direction Strong customer focus, with unwavering attention to safety and quality Ability to work in teams, in a fast-paced environment Experienced in customer training Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills Intermediate proficiency with MS Office tools, including (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access) Strong business and technical analytical skills required Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical and operational requirements. Project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritize, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
