We are currently hiring for all shifts: Day, Swing, and Graveyard.Day shift (6am- 2:30pm), Swing Shift (2-10:30pm) and Graveyard Shift (10pm-6:30am)What Does It Take to be a Line Production Operator at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. Able to repeatedly move or lift up to 50+ lbs throughout a regular shiftAble to lift; fill; push; pull; walk; stand; crouch; reach overhead; and climb stairsRead written formulas, instructions, scale read-outs, machine buttons, and safety precautions.Read instructions and observe reactions of materialsPerform basic mathematical calculationsRead, write, and comprehend the English languageBe an effective member of a teamWhat You''ll Do as a Line Production Operator Keeps a ''safety first'' mentalityComplies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP''s)Ensures that specific instructions and processes are followed for each customer or productCompletes finished goods in an efficient and effective manner to ensure continuous production on lines (typical products are packaged in pouches, pails, bag-in-a-box, totes and super totes)Records product informationPerforms regular metal detectionUtilizes proper stacking and labelling techniquesProperly sanitizes equipmentEnsures proper product identification and labellingOperates hand-held bar code scanner to record the amount of raw materials usedComplete necessary paperwork and recordsMonitors the process for desired quality and quantityUnderstands the importance of Food Safety around FSMA and HACCP guidelinesDemonstrates the ''Dawn Values'' of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
