We Are Hiring: Ascension Borgess Allegan is looking to fill a part time, day shift, House Supervisor position. Three 10 hours days per week Every other weekend. Holidays per unit rotation. Day shift. 9:00am-7:30pmBSN preferred. Preference will be given for applicants who have Clinical Facilitator or past Nursing Supervisor experience. Experience in Nursing for Medical Surgical or Emergency Department patients required. ACLS and BCLS required. TNCC required within 1 year of hire. Experience with staffing and creating and maintaining clinical schedules a plus. Kronos experience a plus. What You Will Do: Supervise and coordinate unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area.Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.Respond to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.Work Experience:1 year of experience required. Additional Preferences: BSN preferred.Preference will be given for applicants who have Clinical Facilitator or past Nursing Supervisor experience.
