Production Supervisor - Textiles (2nd & 3rd Shift)

American & Efird / Elevate Textiles is in search of off Shift Supervisors with a strong focus on employee relations and engagement along with safety and compliance. We are a leading manufacturer in our industry and we are located in Gaston County, North Carolina. In this role you will be responsible for supporting company initiatives in following disciplines: employee engagement and retention, on-boarding and other training, accurate payroll and administrative tasks, oversight of all shift safety initiatives, and the companies Continuous Improvement Process: EOE (Elevate Operational Excellence).Summary: This position contributes to the achievement of company and plant objectives by overseeing efficient, cost-effective yarn manufacturing. The supervisor directs the activities of department personnel to complete production schedules safely and in a timely manner to meet customer demand, while controlling costs, efficiency, quality, and equipment. This person also carries out these functions within company rules and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: • Strong professional demeaner.• Good communication• Must have ability to make good decisions, and exhibit good judgment.• Ability to multitask with minimum supervision.• Provide leadership and organization within the department.• Follows, promotes, and implements all Company policies.• Execute production schedules and follow up on customer orders as needed to meet delivery dates.• Responsible for associate training.• Must be able to reference the A&E / Elevate Textiles Quality Manual, A&E Employee Policies and Procedure manuals, A&E Health and Safety Manual.• Complete shift reports and check employees'' time and attendance via Kronos system.• Ability to use Microsoft Office and Mainframe system (JD Edwards).• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management. Educational/Specific Knowledge requirements :• 4-year College Degree or equivalent work experience of 2 years in supervisory capacity preferred. • Ability to motivate, lead and facilitate manufacturing initiatives while fostering a cohesive work environment.
