This position is located in Jeffersonville, IN.The Business Data Analyst position is aligned with our internal business teams to support the data set-up, mappings, migration and oversight between our legacy platform and migration to our new Warranty system (WISH). This will involve working on data documentation, data process flows, mappings and user story construction for data migration and standardization. The position will work in a collaborative team environment, with independent duties. The Business Data Analyst role will support the business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and provide checks and balances via dashboard and reports for data quality and oversight. This role will help support the data needs for onboarding new clients and migration of existing clients to our new platform. In addition, the Business Data Analyst role will work with the business stakeholders and IT to gather reporting requirements to help define the data structure for the set up our new data warehouse and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to data analysis, documenting processes, working with the business to gather data/reporting requirements, support business reporting request, resolve data anomalies identified. This role will work closely with our IT team on the data warehouse set up, clean up, migration, reporting and supporting exceptions from our bi-directional sync process between our two system platforms. This role will participate on a team to establish a data management and governance process for oversight of the Warranty data. Because of your influence, whether direct or indirect, we are able to deliver powerful outcomes for our clients.Duties and Responsibilities Work with business stakeholders and IT to analyze, define and document data/reporting requirement Provide the data oversight for our business, by establishing needed checks/balances, identifying business owners for data and establishing SLAs to address issue Support reporting request from business stakeholder and validation of reports Manage the review with business stakeholders on data structure, mappings and data consolidation Address open questions on data alignment between our legacy and WISH systems Participation in grooming and sprint planning session Work with business to identify and implement business rules/processes to maintain data integrity Document data flows Business contact to address reporting, data and/or mapping questions Support user acceptance testing for data requirements, reports and coordinate sign-off Performs other duties as assigned or requestedWhat We Are Looking For Bachelors Degree with business, technology, informatics or related field preferred 3+ years as a business data analyst role, Reporting or related role Expert knowledge of SQL Working knowledge with PowerBI, SSRS, or other BI tools Experience working with data warehouses, auditing data and identifying data anomalies & root cause Analytical, decision making and problem-solving abilities Working knowledge of data management and governance processes and procedures Ability to manage multiple deliverables Strong communication skills High sense of ownership and responsibility to all stakeholders to ensure work quality Experience writing business requirements in user story formatEmployment at AIG WarrantyThis is a full time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. This position may start in a remote capacity- as we are currently working remotely in order to ensure proper social distancing measure are met.
