Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services is currently seeking Associate Visual Systems Engineer to become part of the Training Systems team in Hazelwood, MO. Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft. From F-15 fighter jets to Apache attack helicopters, and even NASA''s new Starliner spacecraft. Build your career in software development by helping us build the next generation of flight simulators to train our nation''s military pilots.Position Responsibilities:Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is require.Export Control Requirement:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Deploying Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating systems in a real time environmentConfiguring networksScripting in Linux and Windows environmentsOperating system configurationExperience with high resolution/high performance video and projection systems, Image generators/video cards.Ability to evaluate vendor componentsAbility to trouble shoot system configurations, network configurations of purpose built training/simulator devices.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):1+ years of experience with image generator hardware and/or PC gaming hardware and/or software gaming engines6 months+ experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile methodologies1+ years of experience with C++ and OpenGL1+ years of experience in creating and editing installation and configuration technical documentation and proceduresSecurity+ certification1+ years of experience with automation tools, e.g. Ansible1+ years of experience with Linux distributions with RedhatTypical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+1 year''s related work experience).
