This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.What You''ll Get To Do:The qualified candidate will perform structural analysis on and define structural requirements for the GBSD Launch Equipment (LE) missile support systems. The role will include the following tasks and responsibilities:Development and capture of engineering specifications for metallic and non-metallic structures for all phases of the product like cycle, from preliminary design to sustainmentConduct structural analysis including loads evaluation and static/dynamic conditions, stress, stability, fatigue and thermal loadingAnalysis performed using hand calculation or finite element software packages such as Abaqus and ANSYSReceive instruction from senior engineers and handle multiple tasks in parallelAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. Relocation assistance may be availableGBSDmechanicalBasic Qualifications:Principal: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master''s Degree; 0 years with PhDSenior Principal: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 9 years of experience; 4 years with Master''s Degree; 4 years with PhDExperience running static and dynamic analysis.Proficient in Post-processing using MATLAB and EXCELProficient writer and able to verbally communicate technical contentUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Proficiency with ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, and ANSYS toolsExposure to structural test applicationsActive DoD Secret clearanceExposure to missile programs & with propulsionSalary Range: $87,600 USD - $163,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
