Stafford Healthcare at SeaTac is looking for a fearless, experienced Director of Nursing Services (RN) to lead the dynamic clinical team at our Des Moines location. We are a caring, local, family-owned company that prides itself on satisfied, long-term team members who are truly considered part of the family.Sign-on bonus: $10,000Director of Nursing Services Benefits:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife, and supplemental coveragesAn EAP (Employee Assistance Program)Paid time off401k matching contributionDirector of Nursing Services Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, scheduling, and revising of the MDS, including the implementation of CAAs and triggersAttend continuing education programs Develop a written plan of care for each resident and review all medical and nursing treatments to ensure they are in accordance with the resident''s care plan and wishesDevelop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident''s total regimen of careEnsure that resident and staff information is made available only according to the state or federal regulationsEnsure there is adequate staff in number and ability to maintain the highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing for each resident that meets state and federal regulationsHold staff accountable for duties assignedImplement and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing department, and monitor the facility''s QI, QM, and survey reportsMaintain facility compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulationsMaintain safety rules and procedures that incorporate federal and state regulations and company policiesMonitor nursing care to ensure that all nursing personnel follow established departmental policies and proceduresObserve, mentor, and train new and current clinical staff to facility''s programs, policies, and proceduresParticipate in/provide leadership for in-service training for nursing personnelParticipate in and develop reviews of the discharge plans and prepare reports for the interdisciplinary team as directedParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetingsParticipate in state and federal surveys of the facility; assist the administrator in reviewing deficiencies and developing plans of correctionPrepare, plan, and operate under the nursing department budgetProvide leadership training that includes the administrative and supervisory principles essential for resident care managers and floor nursesReview and revise care plans and assessments, and ensure that all personnel involved in providing care are aware of the resident''s care planReview nurses'' notes, logs, and medical records on an ongoing basis to ensure highest practicable care is being deliveredDirector of Nursing Services Required Qualifications:Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing programPossess and maintain a Washington State Registered Nurse license in good standingMust meet all Washington Administrative Code (WAC) requirements related to this positionHave worked a minimum of two (2) years in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmaciesHave worked a minimum of two (2) years in supervisory/management positions, including experience with budgets, staff development, training, and schedulingPossess effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to exercise professional judgmentBe able to pass DSHS criminal background checkBe able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageBe able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, and lift up to 50 poundsBe able to work beyond normal business hours and on weekends and holidays when necessaryPossess excellent customer service skills and the ability to form positive relationships with persons of all ages and cultural backgroundsOur Company follows WA Proclamation 21.14.1 which requires all employees working in the Health Care Setting be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless they are exempt for medical and religious reasons, no later than October 18, 2021.Director of Nursing Services Preferred Qualifications:Have prior experience working as a DNS or RCMWorking knowledge of MDS process, state and federal survey, and CMSPossess current CPR/First Aid certification*COVID-19: Stafford Healthcare has a first-in-class safety first program in place to keep all team members and residents safe.Search words: RN Registered Nurse DNS DON Director of Nursing Services Skilled Nursing Management Leadership RCMJob target code: [PM21]Powered by JazzHRPI187315408
