JOB TITLE - Mechanical Assembler INDUSTRY - Manufacturing; Quality Thermal Solutions PAY RATE - $17.50+ DOE LOCATION: York/Manchester, PA Area SHIFT: 1 st shift- 6AM-4:30PM | Mon-Thurs (4/10 hr day''s) **Potential for OT on Fridays, as required. **. 3 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS CLIENT NEEDS THIS PERSON TO HAVE: Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools required Seeking candidates with experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, paint prep/ inspection, or brazing highly desired. Reliability, integrity, attendance, and willingness to learn and grow. POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling sheet metal cabinets, installing components into Environmental Control Units, preparing units for painting, completing inspections and touch-up paint, and preparing units for shipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes but may not be limited to the following) - Follow established work instructions and drawings. Assemble sheet metal cabinets for ECU''s. Installs components such as compressors, motors, blowers, fans, coils, electric heat, thermocouple wires, corner braces and other brackets into the ECU. Brazes components and sub-assemblies into ECU''s. Performs leak checks on ECU system. Produces refrigeration piping layout, manufacturers tubing, and brazes per refrigeration schematics. Prepares door sets and small parts for painting and masks ECU''s. Ensures proper components are sent with ECU''s to be painted. Performs inspection and touchup of painted ECU''s. Prepares units for shipment after painting. Ensures proper components are returned and assembled with painted units Completes traveler paperwork; Completes any other necessary paperwork or documentation. Perform any related functions as required, and or tasks as requested by Supervisors, accordingly. Follow all company rules and policies. EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools required Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Previous experience with mechanical or electrical assembly, paint prep/inspection, or brazing highly desirable PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee will be required to walk, and stand frequently The employee will lift up to 50lbs occasionally. The employee will need the ability to stand, walk, bend, move around as needed for extended periods.
