Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Fabrication Lead/PM quotes and produces weldments and fabrications, and manages projects as required and requested. The person will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with precision. Develop processes and standards to provide efficiencies and enhance company profitability. Responsibilities: Central point of Fabrication customer requests - Quoting, sales, technical, etc. Oversee and coordinate the planning and scheduling of structural steel projects. Order materials and coordinate subcontracted processes related to projects. Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements (TIG, MMA, etc.) Equipment management and maintenance. Lead operation and training of TPS Laser Welder.Run manual and/or CNC equipment to produce finished machined components or assemblies. Willing to cross train to other departments when Fab work is low. Other duties as assigned. Travel as required. Minimum Requirements:Education:• High school education or GED.• Trustworthy to work independently.• Requires valid driver''s license.• Proven experience as a welder.• Blueprint and CAD (2D and 3D) reading ability.• Beginning Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.• Has the experience, training, or knowledge to perform validations, first article inspection reports and perform risk assessments related to facility, process, and product.Preferred Requirements:• 3-5 years welding experience. Welding Certificate and/or certification.• Prior job shop manufacturing experience, useful.Knowledge of safe working standards. Leadership experience. Knowledge of CNC machines.
