Data Warehouse Developer All University Support Services employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All employees must demonstrate proof of full vaccination (two weeks after all required doses have been received).Location: The Data Warehouse Developer has the flexibility to be a hybrid role in the Great River, New York office. For candidates residing outside of the tri-state area, there is flexibility with it being a fully remote opportunity with required travel into the New York office monthly as needed. The Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for building high-performance cloud data platform for data analytics and business intelligence (BI) reporting. The developer is responsible for driving the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the enterprise data warehouse architecture in support of our cloud data strategy. The data warehouse developer will be responsible for building the data warehouse architecture and data models for more efficient reporting. The Data Warehouse Developer will report into the Director, Data Analytics. QualificationsBA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar technical degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of seven (7) plus years of experience in data engineering and data warehouse engineering in cloud environment. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in SQL development and coding Demonstrated knowledge and expertise working within Microsoft development stack including Microsoft Azure Salesforce product knowledge and at least 6 months of Salesforce development experience preferred. Essential Functions Develop data-centric solutions to meet the University needs with a focus on integrating existing silo data and providing data solutions that reflect the integrated landscapeGather business requirements and functional specifications Perform data analysis and data modeling as required to design tables and processes to fulfill the requirements Transform complex customer business requirements into effective, efficient, and maintainable enterprise-level solutions Research, analyze, support, and implement database solutions and changes on the data warehouse platform Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database creating a data dictionary Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines Develop data ingestion and integrations (REST, SOAP, SFTP, etc.) processes Modify existing data warehouse processes and objects as necessary to include best practice standards Mitigate existing disparate data sources into the enterprise data warehouse Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders Design, implement and maintain ETL processes from multiple data sources Monitor production jobs and resolve any issues in a timely manner Define and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL processes Develop data visualizations, dashboards and reports and using Tableau and/or other analytics software Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
