As a Diesel Technician you will use your mechanical skills and expertise to diagnose failures, make repairs and maintain all systems and parts associated with class 6, 7, & 8 diesel powered tractors. Additionally, perform routine and just in time maintenance for trailers (tanker, roll-off, van, flatbed), light/heavy equipment (excavators, tractors), small engines, and pumping equipment.You will also regularly:Provide timely and quality maintenance on tractor-trailer equipment electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, drive train, steering and suspension systems.Utilize diagnostic, manual, pneumatic, and electrical tools to assist in troubleshooting engine, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems.Coordinate and schedule specialized repairs and required inspections with service providers.Fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or replace parts using mills, lathes, welders, and metal cutting tools.Perform routine preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer''s recommendationsMaintain clean and organized work areaPerform some administrative duties associated with service and maintenance records.What you need to apply At least 1-5 years verifiable and related mechanical experience for DOT regulated vehiclesWelding and Fabrication skillsAbility to regularly lift 50-100 lbsSelf-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervisionValid Driver''s License (Class B CDL Preferred but not required)Current Air Brake Certification in compliance with FMSCR 396.25 or have at least 1-year verifiable experience under a qualified inspector with the ability to obtain a DOT CMV Air Brake CertificationCurrent DOT Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector or have at least 1-year verifiable experience under a qualified inspector with ability to obtain DOT CMV inspector certificationA Career with Benefits Employer paid Certifications, License, and EndorsementsLeadership Development Programs401k with company matchPaid Time Off and HolidaysCash Incentive Programs and AwardsMedical and Supplemental Benefits Full Suite of benefit options including a 100% employer-paid option for team members and their childrenTelehealthVision and Dental plansEmployer Paid Life insurance, Long and short-term disability coverageHealth Savings Account with a company contribution or a Flexible Spending AccountHow can your career grow?
