Job Description: The ISA-I proactively supports the CISO and the CCO in helping ensure the protection of company assets through a program of cybersecurity excellence both intra-company and with collaborating customers and others as assigned.Essential Job Functions: The ISA-I must proactively Assist in developing and presenting security considerations in applications systems procurement or development, implementation, operation and maintenance, and disposal activities Assist in the determination of an appropriate level of security commensurate with the impact level Assist in the development and maintenance of system security plans and contingency plans for all systems under their responsibility Participate in risk assessments to periodically re-evaluate sensitivity of the system, risks, and mitigation strategies Participate in self-assessment of system safeguards and program elements and in certification and accreditation of the system Assist in preparing notifications to the government or Alpha customers of any suspected incidents in a timely manner, and assist in the investigation of incidents Assist in conducting research and analysis on the impacts on system modifications, technological advances, and malicious code Monitor IT systems to evaluate whether all security controls are in place and functioning properly Conduct, evaluate, and report vulnerability testing results, and related documentation Assist in conducting internal and external audits locate and provide evidential artifacts and related tasks and manage the sharing of artifacts with the auditors Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, and related documentation, including making them available on Alphas administrative SharePoint Update and patch, as necessary, assigned security-related information systems (if not in conflict with separation of duties with vulnerability testing) Respond as part of a team in the event of physical or cybersecurity incidents or other emergencies Other duties as assigned Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be able both to work remotely and in-office on a schedule to be determined in accordance with Alpha Technologies policies and procedures Must be available to report in person within one hour of notification to Alpha Technologies headquarters or designated data center facilities in West Virginia to respond to declared cybersecurity or other emergencies (reimbursement for relocation expenses are not provided for this position) Associate Degree (or equivalent) in information security or closely related field, plus 2 years of IT or IT security experience; or, a bachelor''s degree in information security or closely related field, plus 6 months of IT or IT security experience; or, 4 years of IT security experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities which, when considered in the aggregate, is acceptable to Alpha Technologies Demonstrated critical thinking skills concerning IT systems and security Good written and verbal communications skills Routing and Switching (Cisco and Extreme experience is a plus) Windows Operating Systems/Servers Tenable Nessus/Security Center Sophos Security systems Patch Management Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems Virtual private networks (VPN) Project Management Working experience with CMMI, CMMC, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, or PCI-DSS Demonstrate strong customer service skills Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills required to present department plans and activities to individuals and groups throughout the company Walk, lift, reach, stoop, sit, squat, bend, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch and type for extended periods of time up to 1O hours Prepare, read, comprehend and analyze a variety of complex forms, reports, spreadsheets, maps, plans, records, documentation and correspondence in all languages required by the job Speak to individuals or groups of people with poise, voice control, and confidence Respond adequately to inquiries or complaints Write using standard convention in all languages required by the job Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form Communicate effectively and efficiently in all languages required by the job using whatever communication device or system is required Use/interpret job related terminology, mathematical formulas and functions effectively and efficiently Deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, building and maintaining effective working relationships Perform under stress, deal with persons acting under stress and adapt when confronted with emergency situations Be sensitive to cultural differences among individuals and groups of persons Operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver''s license Operate/use a variety of job specific office equipment Manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, highly technical environment Use written and verbal communications skills to present IT security plans and activities to individuals and groups throughout the organization and customer base Qualifications: Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be able both to work remotely and in-office on a schedule to be determined in accordance with Alpha Technologies policies and procedures Must be available to report in person within one hour of notification to Alpha Technologies headquarters or designated data center facilities in West Virginia to respond to declared cybersecurity or other emergencies (reimbursement for relocation expenses are not provided for this position) Associate Degree (or equivalent) in information security or closely related field, plus 2 years of IT or IT security experience;
