Major Purpose: The purpose of this Sr. Maintenancwe Manageris to lead the maintenance department and to ensure the reliable and cost effective operation of equipment. Responsibilities Assist in achieving zero occurrences. Provide leadership of the Savage culture and systems. Provide oversight of the Maintenance team. Provide additional support to other Savage operations when needed. Provide planning and scheduling of equipment and facility maintenance activities. Record maintenance and operational activities using CMMS. Manage spare/critical parts inventory. Provide direct customer service. Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting. Perform various project management activities. Assist in hiring, training and team building. Understanding of PHMSA (Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration) rules and regulations Ability to become Operational Qualified in all pipeline maintenance and inspection tasks Qualifications Must have 7 years experience working in maintenance in a leadership role Understanding of PLC controls Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints Excellent communication skills: written and spoken Self-starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies and policies Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion Ability to diagnose, problem solve and execute plans Interest in advancement with the ability to relocate in the future Skills and Abilities: Proficient computer aptitude. Effective balancing of customer, company and employee needs. Understands and commits to the growth and development of co-workers. Capable of delegating and/or involving others where appropriate. Ability to communicate clearly on several different levels (with customers, employees and managers). Understanding of heavy industrial equipment from an operating and safety perspective. Ability to manage projects from conception to commissioning. Physical/Environmental Exposures: Must be physically capable of walking entire facility on a regular basis. Willing to work long hours. Willing to accept 24-hour on-call responsibilities. Willing to follow all generally-accepted safety and health practices, such as Personnel Protective Equipment.
