Overview i3 is seeking an Android Developer that is passionate about application and mobile development. You will be working with a team of talented engineers to design, build, and deploy next generation applications for the United States Army. Specifically, the application that the you will support is a rapid prototype for multiple positions in the sequence of passing intelligence and creating fire solutions from it. This position is located in Huntsville, AL and does allow for a hybrid (on-site and remote) schedule. Responsibilities * Architect, Design, and build advanced applications for Android platforms* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design, and implement new features* Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and functionality* Perform code reviews to be the first line of defense and improve product quality* Work on bug fixing and improving application performance* Team mentorship and technical leadership* Work as an agile team member on a Scrum team Qualifications Required Skills: * BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.* At least 5 years of related experience is required. This position can be filled at a Mid or Senior level. * Able to demonstrate knowledge in software development.* Understanding of the full development lifecycle.* Kotlin, Java, C, C++ or Object Oriented Development.* Candidates must also have a working knowledge of all software development processes and documentation.Desired Skills: * Working knowledge of Android development.* Familiarity with Agile development process.* Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.* Solid problem solving and communication skills.* A current security clearance is desired but not required.
